What do Atlantic Master Gardeners do?

One of the main "functions" of a Master Gardener is to provide an "informational" link to the general public on a vast assortment of garden and gardening related questions.

Do you have a particular plant or pest problem or just need some help or friendly advice?

Please email your question, issue or problem to the Association, at the email below, webby@atlanticmastergardeners.com and we will have someone respond to your query as soon as possible.  We will accumulate and record these questions and responses until we have enough to post separately on their own page.

As a Master Gardener, you conduct activities that suit your nature and your expertise.  Examples of Master Gardener activities include (but are not limited to):

-Provide non-biased, science-based gardening information to the public.

 - Diagnose plant problems and provide sustainable solutions to gardeners in the Atlantic region.

 - Design and present education sessions in areas of their expertise by speaking to local groups

about home or specialty gardening topics.

Participate in community based garden projects.

 - Volunteer at public gardens.

 - Write articles for local newspapers or magazines.

 - Participate in the administration of the Atlantic Master Gardeners Association.

Obviously no one Master Gardener can accomplish all of these things! Atlantic Master Gardeners are required to commit a minimum of  25 hours per year to these types of activities.
